Giving back the only way we know how

Providing Responsible IT Solutions

Silverbug is committed to conducting its business with care for the environment. Therefore, we are always looking to operate in the most sustainable way possible.

Company

Silverbug has worked hard to create an inclusive working environment, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity or disability.

We are also dedicated to encouraging our employees to exceed in the technology industry, especially those taking part in apprenticeship programs.

Community

Silverbug was first established in Milton Keynes and has continued to grow and develop.

Therefore, we give back to our city and community by supporting local schools, talking to young people and developing their career aspirations in IT.

Environment

Technology uses many resources, so it’s important to ensure that we reduce its impact as much as possible.

We do this by creating an environmentally aware culture. We encourage our employees and partners to take advantage of re-use and recycle initiatives.

We’re a UK Business Climate Leader

Together for our Planet

We have pledged ourselves to the SME Commitment of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

As a Managed IT Provider, we recognise that the technology industry plays a huge part in greenhouse gas emissions through the use of electricity, maintenance and equipment.

This contributes to the climate crisis, which has a direct impact on wildlife, land, ocean and, ultimately, how humans as a species survive. By pledging ourselves to the SME Commitment of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, Silverbug can help to maintain the global temperature increase below 1.5°C.

To achieve this, we:

  • Develop various environmental schemes and initiatives
  • Implement effective pollution prevention and waste minimisation programs
  • Ensure that energy and water are used responsibly and conserved
  • Measure progress toward our environmental goals

IT Recycling Services

The UK has a collection and recycling rate of 57% of all e-waste products. This means that 43% of products are either untrackable or end up in a landfill.

To further contribute and support our environment, Silverbug offers professional IT recycling services that fall in line with WEEE regulations.
